Terms of Service

Last updated: March 8, 2026

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using BayCal (“the Service”), operated at getbaycal.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

BayCal is a web-based calendar aggregation tool that allows users to connect multiple calendar accounts (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and calendars via link sharing) into a single unified view. The Service provides read-only calendar syncing, conflict detection, and configurable meeting alerts.

3. Accounts & Registration

To use BayCal, you must create an account with a valid email address or sign in via Google. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.

You agree to provide accurate information and to update it as necessary. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. Free Trial & Subscription

BayCal offers a 7-day free trial with full access to all features. No credit card is required to start the trial. After the trial period, you must subscribe to a paid plan to continue using the Service.

Subscriptions are billed annually. Prices are displayed per month for clarity but the full annual amount is charged at the start of each billing cycle. You may cancel your subscription at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' data
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
  • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute access to the Service
  • Use the Service to scrape, harvest, or collect data beyond your own calendar information

6. Calendar Data & Permissions

BayCal requests read-only access to your calendar data. We never modify, create, or delete events on your connected calendars. You are responsible for ensuring you have authorization to connect each calendar account you add to BayCal.

You retain full ownership of your calendar data. By using the Service, you grant BayCal a limited license to access, store (in encrypted form), and display your calendar events for the sole purpose of providing the Service.

7. Privacy & Data Protection

Your use of BayCal is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information. All calendar data is encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM with unique per-user encryption keys.

8. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. BayCal may experience downtime for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any losses resulting from service interruptions.

9. Limitation of Liability

BayCal is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, BayCal shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of income, missed meetings, or employment consequences arising from your use of the Service.

10. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time through the application settings. Upon deletion, all your data — including calendar events, connections, tokens, and encryption keys — is permanently and irreversibly destroyed. No backups are retained.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice.

11. Intellectual Property

The BayCal name, logo, and all related source code, design, and content are the intellectual property of BayCal. You may not use our branding without prior written consent.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to registered users via email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

13. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which BayCal operates, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
